Portfolio Category: Sye!

The start of 2014. I started a new direction as I try to each year. This year I wanted to just paint solo as much as possible and  do every piece on a black wall. This piece was a little crazy though - the winter lay off had me second guessing myself and a little technically rusty. It took almost 7 hours to do this...definitely not my normal pace....

This piece, I just wanted to try something different but still stay in the realm of the "one line" look. The character was part the kung-fu series I was doing but I wanted to acknowledge The TMT vs TC5 battle that was going on.  Skeme and Stem did a battle car 9 that portrayed me as "Sye-Bore". I just wanted to address it and let them know I would soon be scheming my rebuttal. I never responded because the battle died shortly thereafter since guys couldn't seem to follow the...

The original character was Bruce Lee in the white tank top. I got done with the whole character and kept messing up the face. I was getting frustrated and decided to buff him and do one of my straw hatted kung fu guys....

Wanted to spread the piece out and do something big....
